One of the most exciting bands of the mid-noughties' wave of young talent hailing from the British rockin' underground has to be Leeds-based ACES & EIGHTS. The four-piece delivered only this terrific seven-track mini album on Raucous Records before imploding within the next couple of years. The sound doesn't borrow any clichés and influences ranging from Garage, Hillbilly, Blues, Rockabilly all backed by a healthy Punk attitude create a sicko brew of full-throttle Rock'n'Roll beyond description. My favourite tracks are Sermon Of Rev Black, The Creature That Ate Shy Boy Gon and You Don't Need Me.
