Stone Age Beat is simply another very entertaining long-playing record from the Netherlands. The trio hits the spots with clear, but wild rockin' guitar sounds, a fat and tight rhythm section- including an ubiquitous slappin' bass- fourteen diversified songs and themes, spiced up with lotsa fun, enthusiasm and some restrained added extras. On a side note THE CAVEMEN also had a two-track appearance on the Cool Cat Go Ape compilation album. My favourite tracks are Haunted House, Stone Age Beat (Wilma), Wilderella, Vampire, the love song skit One More Chance and Don't Need A Job.
