This is another long lost collector´s item originally out on 12´´ vinyl by Nervous Records. The 4-track offering is some sort of progressive, almost vanguard Rock`n´Roll music, a furious and unique mixture of Rockabilly, C&W, New Wave and Eighties Pop music, that's hard to pigeonhole. Tracklist: The Raid-- Silver Bullet // High Noon-- Eighties Girl.
Turningpoint is the outstanding debut album from one of the genre´s most underrated outfits. The five piece band, fronted by lead vocalist Lee Gocher, who eventually gained fame with more authentic Rockabilly outfits, blended straight, fast stomping sounds with decent 80s New Wave/Pop influences and lyrics beyond the usual stereotypes to a modern Neorockabilly, Psychobilly mayhem. Originally out on 12´´ vinyl by Nervous Records, the album was re-released on CD format by Crazy Love in 2002 including three bonus tracks, the A-side of The Raid 12´´ plus Scratch Chicken Scratch, taken from the Hell's Bent On Rockin´ compilation album. Highlights: The Man From Yesterday, The Good-The Bad And The Ugly, Night Out With The Boys, Hot Rod Blues and Swords Of A Thousand Men.
